This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for TorrentRover and TorrentRover.com. It will notify you of the following:

1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site, and we will not sell or rent your information to anyone. We have kept the amount of data that leaves this website deliberately small. In short:

• Your personal information — your name, email address, and anything you type into our forms — never goes to Google, PayPal, or anyone else. It stays on our side, used only to respond to you or handle your payment.
• Google receives page-level and download-click statistics only — which pages are viewed and which download buttons are clicked. Not who you are.
• PayPal receives only what a payment requires: the amount, the item purchased, and an encrypted order identifier, plus whatever you personally enter into PayPal's own secure pages.
• Everything else the site records (below) stays on our servers, is used only for internal business metrics — how many people visit, how many download, how many installs succeed — and is never shared or sold.

What stays here (never shared or sold):

• A browser fingerprint. When you load a page, the site runs a brief check of standard browser features (screen, fonts, language, graphics, and a few others) and stores a fingerprint of the result. The fingerprint lets us connect a visit to a later download and install of TorrentRover — how we know a download becomes a real install. It is stored in our own database only; it is not sent to Google, PayPal, or any other third party. (The fingerprinting script ships with a built-in debug logger; we have disabled it in the version we serve, so it sends nothing anywhere except the fingerprint itself to this site.)
• Page views and IP address. We record which public pages are viewed and the visitor's IP address. These are simple traffic counts (for example, how many people reach the download page) and are not used to identify individual visitors.
• Download and install records. When you download or install TorrentRover, we record the version and the times and connect them to your fingerprint, so we can measure which versions do well and whether installs succeed. The application also sends us updates and crash reports as it always has.
• Theme preference. The site remembers your dark/light choice in your own browser; it stays on your device and is never sent to us.

What we share, and with exactly whom:

• Google (Google Analytics, GA4). Public pages load GA4 so we can count page views and download clicks. Google receives the standard data any analytics service requires to operate (the page you are on, the download you clicked, your device and browser type), and it sets its own cookies and handles your IP address under Google's own privacy policy. It does not receive your name, your email address, anything you enter into our forms, or the fingerprint described above.
• PayPal (only when you pay). We send the amount due, the item purchased, and an encrypted order identifier so your payment can be matched to the right subscription. Your name, email address, and card or bank details are entered only by you, into PayPal's own secure pages. After your payment completes, PayPal gives us the payer's name and email address, which we use to activate and support your subscription. No further information is exchanged with PayPal at any other time.

What you give us directly:

• Contact form. Your name, email address, and message, used only to respond to you.
• Remote assistance form. Your name, email address, a description of the problem, and a TeamViewer ID with a one-time password for the support session. These are sent by email to the person handling your case. Because the TeamViewer password can allow remote access to your computer, treat that email the way you would a password — and know the one-time password is valid only for that session.
• Payments. Handled by PayPal, as described above; we never see or store card numbers.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

• See what data we have about you, if any.
• Change/correct any data we have about you.
• Have us delete any data we have about you.
• Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
